Central PA Man Caught With Child Porn After Cybertip: Police

A 33-year-old Mount Joy man was found with child porn after police received a Cybertip, authorities say.

Zachary Kump's home and electronic devices were searched by the Lancaster County Computer Crimes Task Force after police received the Cybertip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children on Aug. 9, according to a release by the Ephrata police on Sept. 13.

Investigators found 25 illegal images on electronics owned by Kump.

At the time of the tip, Kump was a resident of Ephrata.

He was arrested and arraigned on Sept. 12, according to court documents. 

He's been charged with five felonies for Child Pornography (two counts), Criminal Use Of a Communication Facility (two counts), and Disseminating Photo/Film of Child Sex Acts, court records show. 

He's been held in the Lancaster County Prison after failing to post $75,000 in bail, according to his court docket. 

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled before Magisterial District Judge Tony S. Russell at 2 p.m.,  September 19, 2022, the docket details.
